All About Me
Ms. Erika Wilkes has worked within the Jennings School District for over 20 years. She started in the capacity of a business educator and volleyball coach and later a marketing educator and supervised employment coordinator. She previously served as the DECA advisor, which is the co-curricular organization to the marketing program. Ms. Wilkes now serves our freshmen and sophomore students in guiding them into a solid foundation of business professionalism through ethics and activities.
In addition to business, marketing and occupational competences, Ms. Wilkes fosters self-directed learning and strengthens the development of core academic skills through application in authentic situations. Students explore career options, enhance skills such as mathematics, communications, psychology, economics, technology and specific product and service knowledge in conjunction with skills in problem-solving, decision-making, group work and goal-setting within the context of business activities in a democratic society that contribute to community economic development.
Ms. Wilkes earned her BA in business from the University of MO-St. Louis and her MAT in secondary education and Vocational Certification from Lindenwood University.
